| Description | Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced HGV 1 TANKER DRIVER on behalf of our client to join their team in Huddersfield. The role: Driver would be required to undertake driving assessment, site induction and initially train alongside another driver. Tanker work moving sludge. Temp to perm after 13 weeks through agency. Previous tanker experience is essential. Hours of work: Days Monday to Friday 0500 starts Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per shift on a temp basis / 9 hours on a perm basis. Salary: Monday to Friday (First 9 hours) = £14.21 + £1.72 holiday pay = £15.93 including holiday pay Anything over 9 hours = £21.32 + £2.58 holiday pay= £23.90 including holiday pay Once permanent, drivers will have paid holiday entitlement rather than paid as accumulated. Essential Skills: Be able to work on own initiative Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE licence. Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card. Must hold a valid Digital tacho card. Good communication skills. Good customer relations. Have a safe driving record. A minimum of 24 months' experience as a Class 1 driver No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations. No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
