| Description | Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 1, CE, Class 1 SHUNTER DRIVER on behalf of our client to join their team in LEEDS, LS10. This is a temporary to permanent position for the successful applicant. This position will start ASAP. Hours of work: Nights Monday to Friday 22:00hr - 06:00hr 40 hours per week basic Salary and permanent basis: £28,000 per year Overtime paid at time and half after 8 hours per day when permanent and temporary. Minimum pay 8 hours per shift whilst working for the agency Pension will be offered Long Service rewards Gym and Health club discounts along with Shops and restaurants Holiday Trading Life Assurance Cycle to work Scheme The Role: Shunting on sites in a HGV 1 , CE, class 1 vehicle - bay and yard work HGV 1 work Follow, promote and communicate the use of safe working practices in line with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation and Company's procedures Duties/Responsibilities: Shunting in a HGV 1, CE, class 1 vehicle in the Yard / bay work Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures. Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures. To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner. To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift. Essential Skills: Be able to work on own initiative Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE licence. Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card. Must hold a valid Digital tacho card. Some shunting experience would be advantageous Good communication skills. Good customer relations. Have a safe driving record. A minimum of 12 months' experience as a Class 1 driver No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
